  • KANSAS CITY, KS—A study at the University of Kansas Medical Center will be investigating Fosciclopirox for the treatment of newly diagnosed and recurrent bladder cancer. The study, funded by the National Cancer Institute, will include 12 patients who will receive a dose of the drug intravenously 20 minutes once daily.
  • INDIANAPOLIS, IN—Indiana University’s National Centralized Repository for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (NCRAD) has been awarded a $30 million grant from the National Institute on Aging. Since 2018, NCRAD has been among the five largest grants awarded to the IU School of Medicine.
  • WARSAW, IN—RAZOR Medical Instruments has raised over $2 million in a Series A funding round by Indy-based Elevate Ventures and several angel investors. RAZOR develops single-use medical instruments that help keep patients from contracting infection from orthopedic surgery.
