Silicon Valley-based health tech firm HST Pathways is moving its headquarters to Nashville because of the city being a hub of health care companies and health care innovation. The company opened a satellite office in Nashville five years ago.
Mayo Clinic has shared the results of a study indicating an AI algorithm could be used to improve diagnosis of a certain type of heart disease. The algorithm uses the EKG (a less expensive test than an echocardiogram) to screen for potential cases of low ejection fraction.
