Purdue University has been awarded almost $1M by the NIST Metals-Based Additive Manufacturing Grants Program to create a suite of sensor technologies that will help optimize cold spray additive manufacturing. Cold spray processes have the potential to create parts that are more durable and stronger than those made with other AM processes.

Minnesota’s 4C Medical Technologies Inc. has closed on $10 million in convertible note financing to further develop its signature product, the AltaValve. The AltaValve is a self-expanding stent that treats mitral valve regurgitation.

A Milwaukee-based nutrition company that uses genetic testing to help people make changes to their diets has secured $4 million from investors. GenoPlalate was launched in 2016 by founder Sherry Zhang.

Centene Corp., based in St. Louis has acquired national specialty pharmacy PANTHERX, which is based in Pittsburgh. PANTHERx and its management team will continue to operate independently as part of Centene’s Envolve Pharmacy Solutions.

Scale Computing, an edge computing, virtualization, and hyperconverged solutions company out of Indianapolis, has secured $30 million in funding, led by Elevate Ventures and with participation from existing investors.
