Tennessee solar facility financed

NASHVILLE, TN–Solar energy company Clearloop has entered into an agreement with electric truck and SUV manufacturer Rivian to finance a Tennessee solar facility that will help power Rivian’s EV chargers in the region. Rivian’s one megawatt investment will power its Rivian Waypoint chargers located in Tennessee state parks, among other clean energy commitments in the region.

Immersive sound tech being implemented in the Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS, MN–EDGE Sound Research is a startup that’s bringing its experiential audio business—transferring audio inputs into vibrations that are felt throughout the body–to a mass market. Earlier this year, its co-founders, Ethan Castro and Valtteri Salomaki, attended the Minnesota Twins Accelerator by Techstars. Now the company is implementing its tech around the Twin Cities, including in a sound lounge at Target Field.

KC company chosen for showcase

KANSAS CITY, MO—Kadogo, a startup that simplifies the donating process for individuals and employees, is one of the 16 companies chosen for Next Wave Impact’s Founders of Color Showcase. At the event, founders will gain exposure to an audience of investors, funds, and angel groups that are accelerating capital opportunities for high-impact minority-founded startups.

Sustainable and attainable homes

KNOXVILLE, TN–Clayton Homes unveiled its net-zero electricity CrossMod homes. The homes will cost just under $230,000 to build before the land and solar panel costs are factored in, and will produce enough energy to power themselves.
