Reema Health lands $8M

MINNEAPOLIS, MN—Health tech company Reema Health created a platform that helps support patients in accessing care and other resources that impact social determinants of health. It has now landed $8 million in seed funding led by MaC Venture Capital and DNA Capital.

$5M global health research grant

ST. LOUIS, MO—The International Center for Child Health and Development (ICHAD) at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis has received a five-year $5 million Launching Future Leaders in Global Health global research training grant from the NIH. The grant is meant to foster the next generation of global health scientists through a one-year mentored research training experience.

Investment for NTrainer System

OLATHE, KS—Innara Health has gotten a new investment from Cardinal Health. Financial details were not disclosed but the money will support Innara’s ongoing business operations during the commercialization process for its FDA-approved NTrainer System. The system focuses on improving a critical key pre-feeding skill in newborns and preterm infants known as non-nutritive suck (NNS).

3rd round of innovation initiative launches in Michigan

ANN ARBOR, MI—Fast Forward Medical Innovation, a unit of the University of Michigan Medical School Office of Research, is launching the third round of the Frankel Innovation Initiative, a $20 million gift from the Maxine and Stuart Frankel Foundation to support the research and development of life-saving therapies at Michigan Medicine, in collaboration with other institutions.
