Platform that connects patients to lab test collections raises $1.1M
CLEVELAND, OH–My One Medical Source, a web-based platform that connects labs, patients, employers and clients who need access to skilled labor for their lab test collections, raised $1.1 million in a seed round. The funding was led by Jumpstart Ventures. The capital will be used to accelerate customer service, sales, and marketing as the company grows its national collection network and client base.
Biotech startup partners with intl pharma company
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–Small biotech startup Autigen, a portfolio company of the pharmaceutical accelerator Ascend BioVentures, is making its way into the biotech world with its regenerative hearing loss treatment. The company has announced a collaboration with international pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim to further develop and commercialize transformative therapies it has pioneered for patients with SNHL. Under the terms of the agreement, Autigen will receive an undisclosed upfront payment and research funding support. The company is also eligible to receive future success-based milestone payments of a total potential value of more than $100M if all milestones are achieved over the course of the partnership.
Catalent to spend $350M in Bloomington facility

Catalent is looking to spend $350 million at its Bloomington facility. The City Council approved tax breaks in March to help convince the bio-manufacturing company to expand its local plant.
Cincy’s Amplicore secures $6M in funding
CINCINNATI, OH–With $6 million in funding, including $2 million from the U.S. Department of Defense, University of Cincinnati Venture Lab-backed startup Amplicore hopes to develop methods for treating musculoskeletal disorders that are minimally invasive and could regenerate damaged tissue.
