$130M toward University of Wisconsin–Madison research
MADISON, WI–The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) announced its annual support to the University of Wisconsin–Madison research enterprise for the academic year ending in 2023. The amount, totaling $130 million across all grant categories and programs, will enable UW–Madison research to solve the world’s problems, according to WARF’s CEO Erik Iverson.
Research department at the University of Missouri brings in $37M in grant dollars
COLUMBIA, MO–One year after the Roy Blunt NextGen Precision Health Building opened at the University of Missouri, researchers are bringing tens of millions of dollars in grant research funding. Currently, the projects these researchers are conducting at NextGen have received a total of around $37 million in federal grants, mostly from the National Institute of Health. Other funding sources include the National Science Foundation, the Department of Defense and the Department of Agriculture.
Landmark investment in research at Vanderbilt University
NASHVILLE, TN–Vanderbilt University has launched a landmark investment in transformative research. Discovery Vanderbilt’s investments will deepen opportunities for scholars to engage in high-caliber research, scholarship, innovation and problem-solving, including creating new spaces on campus for discovery and enhanced infrastructure for supporting research and technology transfer. Discovery Vanderbilt will make targeted investments, totaling more than $50 million in the first year.
