Triple Whale lands $27.7M in an extended Series A
COLUMBUS, OH—Triple Whale, the operating system for Shopify brands, has raised $27.7M in an extended Series A. The funding round consists of a $24M investment led by Elephant VC, alongside a previously undisclosed $2.7M seed round led by NFX, and an additional $1M raised with notable participation from individual investor Shaan Puri.
Job candidate streaming service raises $2M
GRAND RAPIDS, MI—Software company Wedge raised $2 million in funding from Michigan Capital Network, Michigan Rise and Northgate Holdings, among others. Wedge strives to eliminate stress and friction from the hiring process by giving candidates a platform to tell their stories through a short video screening.
Purdue Foundry Boost accelerator backs three tech startups
WEST LAFAYETTE, IN—Three Indiana-based, tech startup companies with connections to Purdue University each received $25,000 at the conclusion of Purdue Foundry’s Boost accelerator. Seven companies took part in the program and received a $5,000 non-dilutive grant at the start. The Indiana companies are Araqev, which advances machine learning capabilities of additive manufacturing; Pluto Aerospace, which is developing rapid and economical launch vehicle platforms for hypersonic and other suborbital applications; and ReproHealth Technologies, which is improving the efficacy of bovine reproductive technology.
