Lexmark to invest $4M
LEXINGTON, KY—Imaging and IoT tech company Lexmark International Inc. plans to invest $4 million to establish a solar panel array and educational greenspace area at its corporate headquarters in Lexington. The 2-megawatt direct-current array will generate over 225,000 kilowatt hours per month, more than 3.3 million kilowatt hours in its first year, and will offset approximately 10% of the site’s energy usage.
Facility service software co. closes $1.5M seed round
AKRON, OH—TonDone, which makes building and facility service software, has closed a $1.5 million seed funding round led by Valley Growth Ventures with other investment from Jumpstart Inc., Wonder Ventures, Connetic Ventures, Akron Fusion Ventures, and others. The funding will be used to expand the TonDone platform and scale distribution of the product across more commercial facilities.
Purdue Startup Fund invests in EdTech funding round
WEST LAFAYETTE, IN—Edtech company Skyepack has received what it calls a significant growth investment funding from the Purdue Startup Fund, which is managed by the Purdue Foundry. Elevate Ventures and M25 also invested in the round. The funding will allow Skyepack to advance its efforts to make postsecondary education more affordable and accessible.
JustiFi raises $4M more in funding
MINNEAPOLIS, MN—JustiFi, the intelligent fintech orchestration brain for vertical SaaS platforms, has raised $4 million in additional funding, bringing its total to $10.6 million. The funding came from Crosslink Capital with participation from Rally Ventures and Emergence Capital. The new financing will be used to further accelerate hiring and product development.
Ohio Third Frontier Commission’s latest funding round
DAYTON, OH—Two tech startups have been awarded new funding from the Ohio Third Frontier Commission to test and prototype their technology. The funds were awarded to Collaborative Concepts LLC, which seeks to commercialize its “GPS Denial Training Unit” and Ignyte Assurance Platform, to develop and commercialize an automated process for cybersecurity compliance scanning and analysis on operating systems and applications.
