A $500M acquisition in PIT | Investing in autonomous zero-emissions rail | $1.5B for the Wolverines

  • PITTSBURGH, PA—Global technology solutions provider Confluence Technologies has agreed to acquire Investment Metrics, an investment data solutions company in a deal worth $500 million. Confluence is backed by both Clearlake Capital Group LP and TA Associates.
  • INDIANAPOLIS, IN—Startup MetaCX, which offers an online network where businesses and their suppliers can communicate and collaborate, has raised another $7 million in equity funding. This latest round of funding came from two of its previous investors, Maryland-based Greenspring Associates and Atlanta-based Panoramic Ventures, joined by a new investor called Engage Ventures.
  • WISCONSIN—NVNG Investment Advisors LLC has closed on $40 million, toward its goal of $200 million, in its first venture capital fund of funds, which is expected to boost investment in Wisconsin startups. Investors included several top-tier Wisconsin companies, including Exact Sciences Corp.
